A low-power wireless piezometer for land reclamations

On large reclamations in soft soil, we often have limited options to monitor the soil response due to lack of access or a stable working platform to install instrumentation. This leads to lack of information during the critical filling phase of the land reclamation. To overcome this, we developed a wireless piezometer, which is a small, portable, and inexpensive instrument. It uses a LoRa radio transmission for low-power signals, a microcontroller running on a battery and charged by solar power and low-power MEMS pressure transducers.
